A note from the person building it
My daughter's first year was disappearing into a camera roll I never opened. So I built the thing that opens it.

I am not trying to make another place to post photos. I am trying to make the record I wish I already had, and to still have it when she is grown.

VincentParent, and the person building Family Reflections

A camera roll is not a story

Thousands of photos, no order, no meaning, and a baby book abandoned in month two. Family Reflections keeps itself, from the day you install it.

Two years, in order

This is the shape of it — every photo filed by how old they were, not by the day it was uploaded.

Illustrative photography. Family Reflections has not opened yet.

The timeline reads like the album you meant to make

Three things it does for you, every day, without being asked.

Growth story

Organized by age, not upload date

Every memory files itself into a timeline built around how old they were, the one order that actually tells the story. Scroll it from the first day to today.

  • Age headers from newborn onward
  • Photos, videos, and everyday notes in one thread
Organized by age, not upload date
Milestones

Hundreds of milestones, gently tracked

Developmental milestones linked to the real moment that showed it, including Japanese frameworks and not just Western ones. A record of what happened, never a scorecard.

  • Multiple frameworks, including Japanese
  • Each milestone tied to a real photo
Search

Finally findable

Search and filter across every memory, person, and milestone. Your camera roll has never once done that for you. Bookmark the ones you keep coming back to.

  • Search by person, milestone, or moment
  • Bookmarks for the ones that matter most

What it actually looks like

Five screens from the design the app is built to, running on one family’s two years.

Every memory in the order they happened, headed by age rather than date.
A photo, a category, a few words. Tags come suggested, and the date fills itself in.
Faces matched on your phone, named once, and then found everywhere they appear.
A month gathered up and written back to you, from the entries you already kept.
Describe a moment in your own words and get a short film built from what you have.

The intelligence runs on your phone, not on our servers

Everything that organizes, recognizes, and suggests happens on your iPhone itself. This is the part competitors cannot copy without rebuilding their business.

On-device

Photos are never uploaded for analysis. Face matching stores nothing biometric.

Invited family only

Grandparents see everything. Strangers see nothing. There is no public anything.

No ads, ever

Built by one parent, paid for by subscriptions — never by selling what your family does.

Read the full privacy policy, or write to support@familyreflections.app with a question. A person answers.

The core app is free, permanently. The intelligence that organizes the story for you is the premium tier. You will see exactly what it costs before you are asked for anything.

Questions, answered plainly

Is Family Reflections free?
Yes — the core app is free, forever. A premium subscription unlocks the intelligent features that organize the story for you. Full pricing is announced at launch.
Where do my photos go?
The organizing runs on your iPhone itself. Photos are stored for you and your invited family only — never analyzed in the cloud, never used for advertising.
Can grandparents use it?
That's half the point. Invited family members get their own simple view of the story — new memories, milestones, and moments, with nothing to configure.
Does it work in Japanese?
Fully — bilingual English and Japanese from day one, including Japanese developmental milestone frameworks.
When does it launch?
It is being built now, for iPhone. We are not naming a date until we are certain of it. Join the waitlist and we will send one email the day it is ready, and nothing before that.

The story is already happening. Start keeping it.

Not a project you finish. A record that keeps growing for as long as they do.
